The Natural History Museum’s Lepidoptera collection is one of the oldest, largest and certainly the most type rich – with 125000 type specimens included. The collection contains 12.5 million pinned specimens and one million papered specimens housed in 80,000 drawers, and it includes specimens from all across the world. The Natural History Museum is a world-leading science centre and one of the UK’s favourite days out.
